Four of the best iPhone CRM applications
With the release of the iPhone and other popular smartphone platforms, CRM vendors have been quick to jump on the bandwagon to provide iPhone CRM software that lets sales staff and other customer-facing staff take care of routine CRM tasks while on the road. Four of the best iPhone CRM applications include:
Mobile Edge for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Many of the large and well known CRM applications now either have mobile components, or third-party software that brings their utility to the mobile platform. Mobile Edge for Microsoft Dynamics CRM provides mobile users with an easy and quick way to retrieve information from Microsoft Dynamics CRM directly onto the iPhone. The Web-services based application allows you to quickly and easily extend your Microsoft Dynamics data to iPhone CRM, and is remarkably easy to use and highly flexible. Because the connection between Microsoft Dynamics and the iPhone is pre-built by Mobile Edge, you can save time with the integration. In addition, the interface is quite attractive. In general, iPhone CRM can be a difficult transition given that some CRM systems do not adapt well to the iPhone’s small screen, but Mobile Edge instead relies on a client server application to adapt the smaller display.
Pipeline Deals iPhone Edition Created by salespeople for use by salespeople, PipelineDeals iPhone Edition gives mobile salespeople the ability to handle all customer-facing data while on the road, using the iPhone. The app lets you track and archive sales deals, collaborate with others, manage the sales pipeline, and issue reports. Delivered via the software-as-a-service model, PipelineDeals’ iPhone CRM includes valuable sales and contact management features, including appointment calendars, integration with the Outlook calendar, appointment setting, and SMS reminders about important appointments. Pipeline is highly customizable, and the API lets you integrate the Pipeline data with any other system.
Mobile Lite Mobile Lite, from CRM veteran Salesforce.com, is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile. Available as a free download from the App Store, it serves as a valuable iPhone CRM complement to the full version of Salesforce. iPhone users get easy access to leads, contacts and other components, and the app includes a dashboard that shows all tasks and events. It can be enabled easily, just by checking the “Mobile Lite” icon on your SalesforceCRM screen.
Highrise for iPhone A valuable tool for keeping track of contacts, leads and tasks, Highrise’s iPhone CRM application is available free from the iPhone app store, but does require a Highrise account. A very useful contact manager, Highrise iPhone CRM also lets you easily review conversations with a call history, along with a history of meetings and other customer interactions. You can also use it to track leads and deals, and can import and export Highrise data to Outlook, Excel, and other common productivity applications.
