The info@hand Microsoft Outlook plug-in is available free of charge for all Info At Hand users. The Outlook plug-in utilizes the Info At Hand web services SOAP interface to integrate CRM functionality into Outlook. No server components or modifications are needed to use the plug-in. The plug-in is simply installed on each client PC or notebook that needs this capability, and enhances the Outlook client installed on that computer.
The info@hand plug-in offers the following functionality:
- Upload one or more selected Outlook mail items to the CRM
- Upload mail attachments along with the email contents
- Add new attachment files and associate with mail item prior to upload
- Display file size of the attachment
- Remove mail item attachments prior to upload
- Edit or annotate the text subject and body of the mail item prior to upload
- Automatic association of CRM Contacts to Email
- Create and make associations for new CRM Contacts
- Associate a mail item with a parent CRM object
- Create new CRM objects for association
- Bidirectional synchronization of CRM and Outlook Contacts
- No limitation on the number of users that can synchronize with Contacts
- Contacts without email addresses can be synched
- Bidirectional synchronization of CRM and MS Outlook Calendar
- Option to auto-mark all future calendar items
- Option to unmark calendar items that are in the past
- Designate MS Outlook Appointment as a Meeting or Call
- Meeting attendees are associated
- Create new CRM objects and assign object metadata

The info@hand Microsoft Outlook plug-in was designed for use with Outlook 2003 only. It is not compatible with Outlook Express. Compatibility with Outlook 2007 is planned during the course of calendar year 2007.
